Cherries is a Dutch fashion-tech accessories brand built around a simple but compelling idea: your phone is part of your outfit. Not just a device. Not just a slab of glass that needs protecting. An accessory — as considered and intentional as your bag, your watch, or your shoes.

The product range lives up to that positioning. Cherry-scented phone cases. MagSafe-compatible Defender cases in colour gradients. Mirror cases. Lanyard cases for hands-free wear. An Eco Bean line made from recycled coffee grounds. Accessories designed to be noticed, switched out by outfit, and talked about — not hidden in a pocket.

The challenge was building a Shopify store that matched that level of product thinking. Fashion-forward, visually distinctive, and conversion-optimised for an audience that cares as much about how their phone looks as how it performs.

We built it — and we've been supporting and improving it on a monthly retainer ever since.

[ Project Goals ] Build a Shopify store that communicates Cherries' positioning from the first second — not a generic phone case shop, but a fashion accessory brand that happens to sell phone protection.

The store needed to convert a young, style-conscious Dutch audience browsing on mobile, while handling the commercial complexity of 29 markets, two languages, and a growing product range that spans cases, chargers, screen protectors, and accessories.

Product pages had to do more than display a case. They needed to communicate colour, texture, scent, and style in a medium — a screen — that can't replicate any of those things directly. The design had to close that gap with photography, copy hierarchy, and a product experience structured around the decision a fashion buyer actually makes, not the decision a tech buyer makes.

And everything needed to be fast. Cherries' audience doesn't wait for slow pages — they swipe away and find something else within seconds.

We designed and built the complete Shopify store, then stayed on as the ongoing optimisation and support partner.

  • UX research — mapping the Cherries customer journey from first visit through product discovery to purchase
  • Information architecture — navigation, collection structure, and product catalogue organisation
  • Homepage design — hero, best-sellers, campaign sections, trust signals, and email capture
